Vacuum Sucks

We have a Dyson vacuum.  Pretty good little vacuum.  Optimized for pet hair.  It sucks...which is a good thing in a vacuum.  However, since cleaning our carpets last weekend, I have been trying to vacuum at least every other day.  I know, probably should do that anyway...we are just trying to get out of the habit of letting things go until...well, disaster.

Gypsy, our beloved Goddess of Fur Spreading (or is that Doggess), sees the vacuum and splits...well, all the animals do that.  They head outside for the duration.  I am unsure why.  It's not like I chase them with the vacuum, never done that. >:-)  OK, well, once or five times.  (You say it's cruel until you try it, then it's fun.)  Well, I think Gypsy's revenge is to come back inside find the clean floor and roll on it and try to shed AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE on that clean floor.

That has irritated me.  Which might be why we used to let vacuuming go for a week or two at a time.  That and the fact that we don't exactly spend a lot of time on the floor.  Unless I am playing with the dogs.  But, other than that, we don't spend a lot of time on the floor.  Now, however, with the threat of impending Chloe, we have both been trying to get into the habit of being more INTO the vacuuming up of pet hair.

Which brings me back to the Dyson.  I fear for it's continued wellness.  With the amount of use it's gotten lately, well, we might wear it out soon!  So far, it's been a trooper.  It sucks and doesn't try to shoot out dust everywhere, all-in-all, it is an awesome vacuum.  Of course, maybe if we are vacuuming more often it will be doing less work in the long run...I hope.

Today, we get to play host to our Newest Niece!!  Leah!  I can't wait to see how we handle a little one around the house.  Leah, however, isn't a normal baby...she is AWESOME.  I don't think I have actually heard the kid cry!  Weird, huh?  Well, we'll be spending a few hours babysitting and we'll see how the whole not crying thing holds up.  Wish us luck.

We also, plan to clean more on the house this weekend, but I am fairly certain that our visit with the niece will be the highlight!

I hate to burst your bubble on Leah! I love her dearly but she has a good set of lungs on her! Molly and I got to hear her cry all the way from her parents house to Molly's house! (Felt sorry for the little thing) But you do have one thing right she is Awesome!!

My daughter didn't cry much, but when she did, you'd think I was beating her! I even had a neighbor threaten to call the cops! I told her to just try. Anyway, have fun w/ that! And if your Dyson wears out, go for the Eureka or a Kirby. They are worth their money.

NAH!! Luara, I think she is just picky about who she likes to be with. So far (five hours) she has not cried, but given her uncle Jim numerous smiles and giggles!! Kids like me, what can I say?

And the Dyson is as strong as ever!!
