City, Forbidden!

We went to the Forbidden City.  We entered from the North and came out in the South Gate.  There we saw the painting of Chairman Mao.  That picture overlooks Tianamen Square.  We even walked near the tomb of Mao…it only comes out at sunrise and sunset, apparently…I had no ambition to wait around for sunset, though.

I will leave you with just a few photos of our day.  It was cold.  As usual, but at least strangely clear.

Tomorrow…or is it today for you in the U.S. ?  We fly to Changsha!  We will be getting up early.  About 430am and then leaving an hour later to catch our 8AM flight to Changsha.  There we will find our hotel and try and get squared away and ready for our lives to change forever.  If we don’t post it is either because the internet did not allow or that I had a major meltdown knowing that in a few hours I will become a father and need to be much more responsible…CRAP!  I wasn’t really planning on growing up anytime soon…

Oh, and if it looks like we are cold, it’s because we are.

I am feeling so excited for the two of you, even though I only know you through your blogs. What a very nice post on your wife, you deserve each other AND the beautiful little treasure that you are maybe holding in your arms at this very moment (or soon in any case). Looking forward to your next post to read all about how it went! And keeping my fingers crossed that it will all go well - for the three of you.
