C-c-cold out there!

It is cold outside...and has been for a few days.  I took some pictures at 14 degrees Fahrenheit the other day.  Here they are!
Ice crystals in the glass of Cora's car.  I thought it brought the cold to the computer screen.
We have been doing lots of things to get ready for our trip.  I think we are doing ok, so far.  There is much that needs to be done.  But so far we have tickets TO and FROM China.  We are working on finalizing our plans while we are IN China.

I got the last tip-able piece of furniture anchored to the wall.  Cora finished a dress for Chloe...you can see it here. I cleaned out the refrigerator so we don't have any REALLY nasty surprises when we return.  Now we just have to keep it that way.  Cora and I have been plugging away at our lists.  I think by the time it's time to leave our lists will be very short indeed!

I took a little time out and finished a painting for Chloe's room.  Cora wanted me to go for girlie and flowery.  I'm not sure how well I did.  Hopefully it will do for now.  Just like the artists of old I tend to paint over old paintings.  This one was once the burning trees that hung above our living room, then it became a giant flower...now, well, I think this is a much more pleasing arrangement.  I don't proclaim myself to be any great artist, but, I do like to dabble.
We both head back to work tomorrow...I think we have really enjoyed the time off and together.  It had been very apparent to us that this would be the last holiday season that we are only two!!  We are exceptionally happy for that!

It has been a good start to what promises to be the best year ever!!

Please, don't ever paint over this one. I think it's fantastic. It's also something she can keep forever from her Dad.
