Sixty-nine years ago, 2,400 men died in what began a long and terrible war. I don't forget this and I don't think anyone else should, either. Which brings me to these images. These are images that have been forever etched in my brain from all the books I used to look at when I was a kid. These are images of Battleship Row during the attack.
And these are images I have put on the white boards the last couple days. Mine don't obviously show the twisted metal or the heat, but the kids appreciated my attempts nonetheless!
